They’re picking at their fingers with their knives.
So I’ve started listening to NPR on my way to and from work, and during my lunch hour (well, 30 minutes). It’s amazing what you learn. Here are just a few interesting news tidbits:
Dr. Kavorkian was released from jail last week. I’m not sure how I feel about him. Euthanasia is a complicated issue.
NASA has plans to build a permanent base on the moon. The bill, I believe, is going to be around $600 billion, costing several thousands dollars per pound of material transported to the moon. The plan as many critics, and it seems that it was concocted by Washington, and not NASA scientists. It sounds like science-fiction, and I think that’s why I’m so excited about it. Now I’m just waiting for them to terraform Mars.
I also hear Ian McEwan read the beginning of a new short story he just had published. It sounded kinda weird, but good. He’s a very funny person. Kevin, I fully expect you to find the audio clip on the NPR website and listen to it.
Anyway, it’s past my bedtime. Good nite!
